Naked and Afraid

She has made three appearances on the hit reality show that has naked people trying to survive the wild for a certain number of days. She managed to complete the 21-day challenge and a 10-day challenge. She was also part of the Naked and Afraid XL show where she was with a large number of survivalists. Even if she always looks pretty serious, she would always crack a joke once in a while. She was in the Everglades in one episode where she teamed up with Jake. In another episode, she was in the Amazon where she teamed up with Chance. She has stated that she would not do another episode of Naked and Afraid in the future though. She thanks Discovery for the awesome experience but she thinks it is time for her to move to a new chapter in her life. That is certainly the right call as it is extremely hard to survive any of the show’s challenges.

Blade Road Trip Project

She is one of the endorsers of Blade. Melissa is a proud member of the knife community. She wants to let everyone in the world know that there are many ways to use knives other than cooking. It can also be used to make tools and other gadgets. She has taught some hard-nosed class to knife enthusiasts. She certainly wants to learn more at such a young age.

Primitive Practice

Melissa taught herself everything when it comes to survival. She became a teacher of survival practices. Shelter is one of the things that she first learned and it is amazing how fast she learns things. She would love to build small temporary shelters using tree branches and other forms of nature. Staring fire is another thing she learned and she knows it is not easy since you will not have someone helping you out there. There will be a lot of trial and error when you are out in the wild. She has a lot of practice when she finally applied what she learned in Naked and Afraid. Melissa has learned the different types of plants that can be eaten. When she goes to the wild, she knows the different types of plants that she will encounter. There are some that don’t need to be cooked and can readily be eaten.

Backwoods Blog

Melissa has a blog that she updates regularly. She updates her millions of fans regarding what she is up to. In fact, she writes the articles herself so that it would give her fans the feel of her experiences. She would rather not pass the job to someone else even if that person has perfect English grammar. It is not all about grammar as it is all about sending a message to those who want to get it. She discusses a bunch of topics so better check back on her website every now and then for some new topics. It is no surprise how all of her blog posts has a ton of shares on social media.

One of the features of this blog is the many items Melissa has up for sale. Now, you can go backpacking in the wild with all the items that you need. There is no doubt she used some of those items in the past. One of the best items she has for sale is the Backwoods Bag. You can definitely fit a lot of useful items in this bag. You just need to be creative in how you will be able to fit them all.

There is a reason why Melissa Miller episodes on Naked and Afraid has garnered high ratings. She has the charisma and appeal that gives fans the reason to watch them. It is no surprise that she was able to complete the challenges. After all, she is pretty athletic and she always stays in great shape doing various forms of exercise.
