It is about the size of a credit card. It is a little thicker than a credit card. You can hook the kit onto anything with a loop. The kit is easy to carry so you can grab whatever you need real quick if you need too.<\/p>\n<p>Many of the items are multi-functional with special features. The 5.9&#8243; pen can be used for writing notes. If you get lost in the wilderness, you can leave a note for someone. You can leave a message for your friends if you leave the campsite. Write down the time, what you are going to do, and what time you expect to be back. It should not take 3 hours to go pick some berries. Always include the time on everything you write down.<\/p>\n<p>The emergency kit contains a survival bracelet that is packed with functionality. You can blow a whistle, start a fire, see what direction you are going in, and scrape a tree branch. And of course, the bracelet itself is made of paracord. It looks like just a piece of silver flat metal. The knife card can open a can, screw in a screw, tighten anything you would use a screwdriver for, or saw a tree branch. It has a ruler on one side. It can really help you when you learn how to use the features.<\/p>\n<p>A thermal emergency blanket comes with the kit. It looks like a piece of aluminum foil. It is heavier duty than aluminum foil. You would use it in a medical situation. Sunburn can happen in 45 minutes. A bad sunburn can occur in only 30 minutes if you do not have a tolerance to the sun. I know there are a lot of trees at campsites and hiking trials where this kit would be used.<\/p>\n<p>The kit is there for an emergency. Anything can happen.
