how to make a paracord bracelet

Have you ever wanted to make your own paracord bracelet?

Paracord bracelets are a must-have tool for any prepper’s emergency equipment…

This survival tool has a variety of uses and is very simple to use. After all, you only need to wear it around the wrist, and you’re able to make it in no time!

If you don’t already have one, this could be your next undertaking to work on. As there are many uses, there is also a variety of paracord bracelet types.

Below are some are short step-by-step guides on how to make the easiest and most popular paracord survival bracelet there is.

Let’s get to it.

Table of Contents

  • Step 1: Get the supplies
  • Step 2: Attach the paracord
  • Step 3: Attach the buckle
  • Step 4: Weave the bracelet
  • Step 5: Thread it over
  • Step 6: Repeat
  • Step 7: Trim and seal

Step 1: Get the supplies

You will need 550 paracord for an 8.5” bracelet (13 ft), a lighter or some matches, and ½ inside release buckles, and scissors.

Step 2: Attach the paracord

The paracord should go to one of the sides of your buckle. Once you do this, fold the piece in half and start threading the paracord through the buckle. Next, pull the ends of the paracord through the loop you just made. Pull tight.

Step 3: Attach the buckle

Now it’s time to attach the second buckle. Size the buckle to the wrist and use it to thread the loose ends through it. Now pull the buckle upwards all along the cord to the point where you have the desired length.

Loop the paracord ends towards the first buckle.

Step 4: Weave the bracelet

Now, weave the bracelet by holding its ends in a way that the left strand is on the buckle’s left side, and vice versa. Take the strand and loop it from the front around all the paracord pieces. Now pull it back to the same side.

Step 5: Thread it over

Start threading the left-side strand that is free hanging. Thread it over the core section and take it underneath. Now move it over the right free strand and do take the right one.

Do the same with the right free strand while keeping it under the left one. Now pull the loop you created by the left core section, with the left strand to tighten.

Repeat the process with the free strand on the right. Pull it under the right core section, then over the left one. Once again, pull it underneath the left one. While grabbing the left free strand, pull the right one under the left core piece and the right core piece. Pull to tighten.

Step 6: Repeat

Go back to step 5 and 6 and repeat to tighten. Continue repeating this step until you get to the second buckle.

Step 7: Trim and seal

The bracelet is done once you reach the second buckle. Trim the ends and seal them by using the above-mentioned matches or lighter.

You can also cut off the ends and burn them afterward.

That’s it. That’s how you can make your own paracord bracelet in just a few steps. If you followed these steps, you now have the perfect paracord survival bracelet!

Not bad for just a few minutes of work.
