Getting a bug bite when camping is enough to ruin a relaxing weekend camping trip.
Add that with a wet environment which most outdoor environments wind up wet eventually and the risk of infection shoots up.
Also if you didn’t pack calamine lotion with your camping kit. A simple bug bite can turn into a survival scenario. One bug bite is too many bug bites.
To keep bugs out of your pants and sleeves and to prevents them from crawling up your legs and arms. It’s very quick and easy, here’s what you do.
Take your pants and sleeve cuffs and fold them under.
Tie something around them.
Here are a few things that work well:
- Elastic Blousing Bands
- Elastic Bands
- Duct tale
The velcro cuff straps that commuter cyclists wear work well.
All we’re doing is removing any space between your skin and your pants and sleeves. So we’re preventing access to your skin from any bugs.
